  annote = {Repetitive structures in images can be an obstacle to
   matching and retrieval, if they are treated only as an unorganized
   set of elements. On the other hand, by identifying the pattern and
   matching or retrieving by the pattern the repetitive structures can
   be turned into an advantage. Our method detects planar repetitive
   structures (possibly multiple per image) under perspective
   distortion, such as windows on a facade. Clusters of similar
   looking interest points are found, their pattern is recovered,
   rectified to a frontal view, a shift-invariant building element is
   extracted and the pattern is grown by cross-correlation.  The
   results are evaluated indirectly by an image retrieval
   experiment.},
