  annote = {Parallel MRI (pMRI) is a way to increase the speed of the
    MRI acquisition by sampling more sparsely in the k-space. The
    decrease of the data amount causing aliasing is compensated by a
    simultaneous use of several coils with distinct spatial
    sensitivities.  We propose a new algorithm that estimates the
    coefficients of the linear reconstruction transformation directly
    without estimating the coil sensitivity maps first. The
    coefficients are approximated by B-spline functions. This reduces
    the number of variables and thus speeds up the estimation. It also
    makes the method more robust to noise. Tests were performed on
    phantom images. The proposed method had lower square difference
    error than two commercially used methods GRAPPA and mSENSE.},
