Segmentation – Tasks
- In the satellite image
mark the river Labe using boundary detection by dynamic programming. [1.25b]
- State the cost of the found path.
- What is the asymptotic complexity of your algorithm
(w.r.t. to the number of pixels)?
- Segment photo of the reservoir Fláje
using mean-shift segmentation into bank, water, sky and vegetation. [2.75b]
- Derive the formula for gradient for Epachenikov kernel – it is needed
for implementation.
- Display the result of the segmentation on the image of quarter dimension:
imresize(im,0.25).
- State the chosen kernel size and discuss the choice.
In the end, donwload and use
remsmall function to remove small few-pixel components.
Note: the segmentation does not have to be perfect, e.g.
this result is perfectly acceptable.
