Three months at ETH Zurich

The talk reports about my first three month at ETH Zurich. I will
shortly describe the Computer Vision Group, its organization, research
areas etc. Three research projects I am currently involved in will be
introduced. A collaborative virtual environment is the expected output
of the BlueC project. Computer vision related task covers calibration
of multiple cameras and silhouette extraction. A pre-stage of the
Wearable computing project is currently running. User's pointing
finger is to be tracked by a small camera mounted on the waist. The
project with working name OmniRoll is expected to start as soon as
possible. Currently we are searching for a suitable mobile robot on
which a panoramic camera will be mounted.
