Medical image registration using information theory measures

In my presentation I will shortly introduce medical image registration,
its main applications and a widely used nine criteria classification of
existing methods. Next part is an overview of a general registration
procedure and its three main components. I will address one of them - the
similarity measure with focus on information theory based measures, like
entropy and mutual information. In the last part I will mention challenges
for this field and describe some interesting recent methods.
