Omnidirectional system for meeting recordings. Igor Potucek Department of Computer Graphics and Multimedia Faculty of Information Technology Brno University of Technology Abstract: The traditional approach for recording of the meetings uses several video cameras mounted on the walls. The omnidirectional system with hyperbolic mirror and HDTV camera is used in our case. The acquired data need to be presented to the human in the appropriate manner, however, not in the "deformed" form obtained through the mirror. Some techniques to trasnsform omnidirectional image into suitable form will be presented. The transformed output is then used for recognition of the participants activity. Omni-directional system consisting of camera and mirror mounted on mirror holder is prone to vibrations, which cause distortions in transformed panoramic image. The solution is to detect parameters of the mirror border in each frame. The modified edge detector for circles is proposed.
