FINGERPRINT IMAGE RECOGNITION

The topic is devoted to finding of the appropriate method for the
fingerprint image recognition. It will be shown that it is possible to
recognize the fingerprint image on an ordinary PC without the use of
sophisticated hardware within a reasonable time. The preprocessing will be
mentioned only briefly. The problem of the final proof of similarity will be
focused on. This includes the iterative geometric transformation and the
correlation. It is shown that the proposed method is effective enough to
recognize fingerprint images within a reasonable time. Moreover, this method
solves the problems of the fingerprint image recognition when not enough
minutiae were found in the image.
