Dave's problems: Image processing problems in Biology and Optometry

Brief Outline:

I have a grant starting in May that aims to link between Digital
Images and Digitised Drawings of Biological Specimens.  I will outline
the problem and present some initial ideas on how to solve this
problem.

I have also been given a problem by an Optometrist at Cardiff
University that involves processing images of the Retina and Optic
Nerve. This is a challenging problem.

One theme of the two above problems is that Biological data is not
systematic and therefore difficult to process.

I hope that in sharing my problems that some ideas will be generated
in solving the above problems.
