An attempt to analyse the information contents in geometric features of greytone image. A number of features detected in an image define in turn the class of all images having these features. In natural images, it is compared how much information is in the least informative member of the class relative to the original image. Furthermore, new scale normalisations are derived for multi-scale feature detectors to create features which ar point of maximal information.
