Binary Illumination Coded Range Finder

The Binary Illumination Coded Range Finder projects a coded pattern on the scene. The pattern contains a redundant binary code providing for unique identification of rays emanating from the projector. The range finder delivers Euclidean reconstructions of scenes from one image only at the resolution 64 x 80 samples. Moreover, topological relations on such reconstructions are automatically established giving rise to connected surface patches rather than to the clouds of unorganized points.
