Martin Barva


I was born on April 22, 1977 in Boskovice, Czech Republic. I graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of Brno University of Technology in control engineering. I obtained the Diplôme d'Etude Approfondie in signal and image processing in the Centre de Recherche et d'Applications en Traitement de l'Image et du Signal (CREATIS) of Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Lyon (INSA de Lyon), France. I did Ph.D. studies within the framework of the program le doctorat en cotutelle in the laboratory CREATIS of INSA de Lyon and in the Center for Machine Perception (CMP) of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of Czech Technical University in Prague. I defended my Ph.D. thesis in August 2007. At present, I am working at Deutsche Börse Group in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
