WIN 10 EUR FOR SUGGESTING A GOOD REFERENCE!
I am looking for good textbooks or other materials (e.g. tutorials, web pages) which give a concise, clear, and mathematically correct description of the following topics:
- Nyquist-Shannon sampling theorem, including the multidimensional case (application-oriented).
- Likelihood of a continuous distribution. (Here corectness of the definition is a problem: The density is defined up to a set of measure zero, but the likelihood depends only on finitely many values.)
These tools are used by very many people, but it seems that there are not so many who understand them, and even less who can explain them to others.
I promise an award of 10 EUR for the first person showing me a material which could be recommended for explanation of any of these topics.
(I retain the right to decide whether the reference really satisfies my criteria.)

ODMĚNA 10 EUR ZA NALEZENÍ VHODNÉ LITERATURY!
Hledám učebnice (tutoriály, webové stránky) poskytující stručný, srozumitelný a matematicky korektní výklad následujících témat:
- Nyquistova-Shannonova-Kotělnikovova vzorkovací věta včetně vícerozměrného případu (aplikačně orientovaná).
- Věrohodnost spojitého rozdělení. (Zde je problém s korektností definice: Hustota není definována jednoznačně, ale až na množinu nulové míry. Pro výpočet věrohodnosti se však používá pouze konečně mnoho hodnot, a ty tedy mohou být libovolné.)
Mnoho lidí používá tyto metody, méně je chápe, a velmi málo z nich je umí dobře vyložit.
Slibuji odměnu 10 EUR tomu, kdo mi první ukáže materiál, podle něhož by se dalo vykládat kterékoli z výše uvedených témat.
