ZIP disks
Novell network
There is one ZIP drive located in "storage" computer in room no. 130. This computer operates under Windows 95. ZIP drive has K: letter.
UNIX network
ZIP drive is attached to the lie (room no. 113).
Reading ZIP disks under LINUX
Mounting ZIP disk
- Put ZIP disk to the drive.
- Write command: mount /zip.
- Now in the directory /zip are located files from the ZIP disk. You can read/write files from the ZIP disk.
Unmounting ZIP disk
- Change directory outside the directory /zip.
- Write command: umount /zip.
- Eject ZIP disk.
Those procedures works only with ZIP disks formated with MS-DOS file system. If you want read files from ZIP disks written under another file system, please contact Daniel Vecerka.
