CMP has been an informal body headed by V\u00e1clav Hlav\u00e1\u010d since its foundation in 1996.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CMP comprises <\/strong>scientists sharing common interests in <strong>computer vision<\/strong>, <strong>pattern recognition<\/strong>, <strong>machine learning<\/strong>, and <strong>autonomous robotics<\/strong> from the following groups<\/p>\n<p><strong>At the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fel.cvut.cz\">Faculty of Electrical Engineering<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/cyber.felk.cvut.cz\/\">Department of Cybernetics<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/cmp.felk.cvut.cz\/~kybic\/\">Biomedical Imaging Algorithms<\/a> (head Jan Kybic)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/cyber.felk.cvut.cz\/research\/groups-teams\/ml\/\">Machine Learning<\/a> (head Boris Flach)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/cyber.felk.cvut.cz\/vras\">Vision for Robotics and Autonomous Systems<\/a> (head Tom\u00e1\u0161 Svoboda)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/vrg.fel.cvut.cz\">Visual Recognition Group\u00a0<\/a> (head Ji\u0159\u00ed Matas)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>At the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ciirc.cvut.cz\">Czech Institute of Informatics, Robotics and Cybernetics<\/a><\/strong>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ciirc.cvut.cz\/teams-labs\/rmp\/\">Robotics and Machine Perception Department<\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/aag.ciirc.cvut.cz\/\">Applied algebra and geometry<\/a> (head Tom\u00e1\u0161 Pajdla, also Josef \u0160ivic)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ciirc.cvut.cz\/teams-labs\/rmp\/rop\/\">Robot perception<\/a> (head V\u00e1clav Hlav\u00e1\u010d)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Larger projects related to CMP<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/impact.ciirc.cvut.cz\/\">Project IMPACT<\/a> (responsible investigator Josef \u0160ivic at CIIRC)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The <strong>mission of CMP<\/strong> is to provide and develop a stimulating and open research environment for groups and scientists sharing common interests. CMP facilitates scientific collaboration and joint research projects, pursues ambitious common scientific objectives. CMP helps to educate and promote young scientists and their research. CMP is committed to the principles of academic freedom and follows the rules of good scientific practice.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CMP <\/strong><strong>activities include:<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Common scientific seminars, workshops, and colloquia<\/li>\n<li>Active contributions to Ph.D. education<\/li>\n<li>Shared infrastructure (computing resources, labs)<\/li>\n<li>Shared CMP library located at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Department of Cybernetics, Karlovo n\u00e1m\u011bst\u00ed campus<\/li>\n<li>Co-organization of the Computer Vision Winter Workshop<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>CMP is steered by the board<\/strong>. The <a href=\"http:\/\/cmp.felk.cvut.cz\/new_pages\/contacts\/\">CMP board<\/a> decides about the membership, policies, and services. The CMP board appoints a head.
