FUZZY LOGIC - instructions for exams
Exams are only oral (with time for preparation).
Usually two questions, one from the general introduction (fuzzy sets and operations), one from the specialized topic of that course.
The evaluation is combined from both questions, using some "fuzzy disjunction", which means that more weight is assigned to the better answer.
The exams are organized at request. Typical procedure:
- When a student is almost ready for exam, he/she asks for a term (by e-mail, about one week before the expected term).
- The term and place are fixed and announced to all remaining students. They are encouraged to join if they can.
- If needed, repeat from Step 1.
Student that do not intend to finish the course with an exam (for any reason) are kindly requested to announce this to the lecturer.
The deadline for undergraduate students is the end of the semester; postgraduate students may pass the exam at any time (unless other documents say something else).
