I will give an overview of the present and planned activities of the Computer
Vision Lab Dresden. I will structure the talk in three application areas: "3D
Scene Understanding"; "Bio Imaging"; and "Image Matching in the presence of
Reality" . While talking about these application areas, I will present
algorithms and models we have developed in the past, in particular "Particle
Belief propagation", "combining Random Forests and Conditional Random Fields",
and "combing active shape models with graph matching".
