The workshop will take place in Český Krumlov castle situated in Czech Republic, from February 5th to 7th, 2018.
Today's township of Český Krumlov is located in the South Bohemian Region. The first surviving mentions of Český Krumlov come from the 13th century. The Český Krumlov Castle is a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1992.
Most of the architecture of the old town and castle dates from the 14th through 17th centuries; the town's structures are mostly in Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque styles. The core of the old town is within a horseshoe bend of the river, with the old Latrán neighborhood and castle on the other side of the Vltava.

The workshop will take place in Český Krumlov Castle situated in the center of Český Krumlov town in Czech Republic, from February 5th to 7th, 2018.

Transportation information

  By car

Use 48°48’45.0″N, 14°19’01.5″E in your GPS or simply use Google maps with 48°48’45.0″N, 14°19’01.5″E.
By car you can drive directly to the Český Krumlov castle, where the CVWW is located. You can drive through the Latrán street from main road.
There are some restriction for cars (No entry sign), however you, as a CVWW participants, are allowed to drive by car directly to the castle.
In the case, that police will stop you, you can say, that you are going to the conference to castle, or you can call our organizer Eva Matysková +420 736 411 535.

  Parking

You can park directly on the castle parkinglot or on the Castle apartments parkinglot.

  By train

Town Český Krumlov is located approximately 175km south from Prague, 25km south from České Budějovice and 70 km north from Linz, Austria.
Český Krumlov has a good train connection by train to Prague and other cities. From Český Krumlov main train station you can walk to the castle (approx. 20 minutes):

If you came by train to České Budějovice, you can come to Český Krumlov by train, bus, or if there is none good connection, you can contact us an we can pick you up by car.

Accommodation

The accomodation is divided into two buildings:

  • Český Krumlov castle - Study center
  • Castle apartments
The Castle apartments are located in 2 buildings, approximetly 3-5 min walk from castle. The parking is available on both sites.
