- 2014-10-22 the SAS-097 succesfully defended the mid-term report at the NATO PBM in Prague, Czech Republic (the presentation and the status report are here).
- 2014-10-15 the SAS-097 participated in the Future Forces Exhibition & Conference 2014 in Prague, Czech Republic. Several SAS-097 representatives were invited as speakers and the SAS-097 team also performed live demonstrations of the USAR robotics.
- 2014-09-15 M. Reinstein represented SAS-097 as Invited Lecturer at the 2014 NATO STB Sympozium on Autonomous Systems in Bratislava, Slovakia (more details including the presentations are here).
- 2014-02-20 The 2014 NATO SAS-097 workshop was hosted by the NATO M&S COE and was organized as a joint event together with the MESAS'14 Modelling & Simulation for Autonomous Systems Workshop. The MESAS'14 was on May 5-6, 2014; the SAS-097 internal workgroup meeting was on May 7, 2014 (more details are here).
- 2013-11-05 The SAS-097 participated and co-organized a Workshop on "The use of robotic and autonomous systems in the Army of Czech Republic" for the Czech Army command representatives aiming on bridging the bap between operational requirements and technological possibilities. The workshop was under the patronage of 1. ZNGŠ genmjr. Ing. Miroslav Žižka (details are here, in czech only)
- 2013-10-01 The SAS-097 is participating on organization of the Workshop on "Modeling & Simulation for Autonomous Systems" organized by NATO COE M&S, scheduled for 5-6 May, 2014 in Rome, Italy.
- 2013-10-01 M. Reinstein presented the status report of SAS-097 at NATO PBM in Rome, Italy. The relevant documents are available here.
- 2013-09-20 We welcome new SAS-097 member Prof. Jean-Guy Fontaine, Research Department Head of the NATO CMRE.
- 2013-07-16 Representatives from NATO CMRE, Dr. James Miller and Dr. Edoardo Bovio, visited the Czech Republic. On 2013-07-16 Vaclav Hlavac, Michal Reinstein and Libor Preucil hosted them at the CTU in Prague. On 2013-07-17 the representatives were invited to Brno to visit the University of Defense (host Jan Mazal) and Brno University of Technology (host Ludek Zalud) (detailed report here).
- The Saint-Cyr military research center (CREC Saint-Cyr) is joinning the SAS-097 activities!
- 2013-06-12 Internal SAS-097 Workshop was succesfully held in Paris in 12-13.6. 2013. Participants from the following NATO COEs were present: JAPCC, EOD, C-IED, M&S, and C2. More information are here.
- 2013-05-29 SAS-097 representatives V. Hlavac, L. Preucil, M. Reinstein together with J. Mazal (UNOB) and P. Mikunda (VOP CZ), visited the CMRE in La Spezia, Italy. The visit aimed for future collaboration between the academia, military & industry and CMRE. (detailed report available here)
- 2013-02-12 Organization of the next internal SAS-097 workshop has been officially initiated (more info here). It will take place 12-13.6. 2013 in Paris in the facilities provided by NATO CSO. Prior to this workshop but in the same facilities, there will be an internal meeting of the SAS-097 Virtual Strands during 10-11.6. 2013.
- 2012-10-15 Prof. Vaclav Hlavac presented the SAS-097 mission and future plans at the STO Panel Business Meeting in Monterey, USA. The status of SAS-097 is green.
- 2012-08-09 We welcome new SAS-097 member, Dr. Cagatay Soyer from NATO Communications and Information Agency.
- 2012-07-29 Remark on NATO organization structure: NATO RTO has beed transformed to NATO STO (Science & technology Organization) and NATO RTA transformed to NATO CSO (Collaboration Support Office)
- 2012-06-12 Michal Reinstein participated at the COE Workshop in Brno. Please see the new documents regarding the Centres of Excellence shared via the internal pages.
- 2012-04-25 - 2012-04-27 the SAS-RTG-097 Kick-off Workshop was successfully organized and four Virtual Strands were formed and are active.
- Call for participation to the SAS-RTG-097 Kick-off Workshop that will take place April 25 -27 2012 at the Czech Technical University in Prague. The main agenda will be organization of the virtual strands and negotiation regarding the virtual strands leaders.

- 2011-12-15 Response from the RTB regarding the most recent Silence Procedure: SAS-RTG-097 has been officially approved as new RTO activity. Its activity starts immediately.
- Preparation of a workshop to be held in Prague in Spring 2012 and should bring the interested persons together.
- 2011-10-21 The meeting of Prof. Vaclav Hlavac with Dr. Khalil Rouhana (European Commission, Director, Directorate E: Digital Content & Cognitive Systems) in Frankfurt a.M. about potential collaboration betwen ET.BX and EC's networking activities in robotics. Even though EC does not directly offer financial support for military research, Dr. Rouhana expressed interest in the dual-use of military technologies in civilian settings. He also encouraged the participation of the EC-funded research project partners in ET.BX activites.
- 2011-10-19 TAP was discussed at the panel business meeting of NATO RTO, panel System Analysis and Studies in Copenhagen on Oct 19, 2011. The proposal to leverage the exploratory team to a task group was submitted.
